GARMIN TACTIX 7, A Tactical Smartwatch

Garmin has officially announced the introduction of the new tactix 7 series, its smartwatches packed with unique tactical, training, and performance functions, as well as navigation from the wrist, in addition, to complete health and fitness monitoring well-being, as well as all of the fundamental tasks of smartwatches

All tactix 7 devices, which are available in three variants, include a 1.4′′ screen and a scratch-resistant curved sapphire lens. Users may rest comfortably knowing that sapphire is one of the hardest materials on the planet, guaranteeing that the display works even in adverse settings.

The tactix 7 series is now ready for day and night operations, with a transflective display compatible with night vision goggles and a dedicated multi-LED flashlight for low-light circumstances.

Users may carry out any sports activity, from HIIT training to HALO jumps, with the peace of mind that they have enough autonomy to get the most out of their activities, thanks to the increased solar charge in the different models.

And it is here that we find a device built to the military standard MIL-STD-810 with a water resistance rating of 10 ATM. A black DLC-coated titanium bezel and backplate are coupled with new metal button guards and stronger metal lugs.

However, it is not all. The Garmin tactix 7 Pro also comes with black military nylon QuickFit straps, aiming to be a watch as tough as its users.

A dual-control user interface with a touch screen and physical buttons is new to the tactix 7 line. On the one hand, its classic button control enables operation in any situation, which, when combined with its new very responsive touch screen, allows us quick and straightforward access to all of its applications.

As a result of these models' continued emphasis on privacy, we will once again find the stealth mode introduced in its predecessors, with which we may entirely deactivate our watch's information store and sharing features, as well as all geolocation functions. Stealth mode maintains operational security in the event of a lost device by not recording location data on the device.

Last but not least, the new Garmin tactix 7 improves battery life for the outdoor smartwatch family, giving up to four weeks of battery life in smartwatch mode. However, in the case of the Pro model, we can expand this autonomy to 37 days of use due to developments in solar technology.

Price and availability

The three variants of this family of smartwatches are already available through the official Garmin website, with pricing starting at 1,099.99 dollars.
