Hisense Unveils Gaming Monitor
The Hisense Gaming TV Ace 2023 is a new TV that the company has begun marketing in China. It combines 4K resolution with a huge diagonal and features tailored to gamers on consoles and PCs.
You can play games by plugging a console (or PC) into any TV, but few can compete with the performance of the top monitors. Hisense's new approach attempts to achieve this by focusing solely on addressing the requirements of gamers.
A 65-inch diagonal ULED panel is mounted on the monitor. The main feature is a 240Hz refresh rate while running at native 4K resolution. To achieve that level, the TV must display native or locally stored content or be connected to a powerful GPU, such as an RTX 30 or RX6000.
It offers a full-featured HDMI 2.1 video input (48 Gbps bandwidth), VRR (variable refresh rate) capability, and AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology to do this. Supports 4K 120Hz mode for maximum performance on the newest generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
It would be a waste to use this TV solely for gaming, and it can, of course, be used for anything else. It has 1.07 billion colors, a Delta-E of 1.5, and 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.
The TV features three HDMI connections (one of which is the aforementioned HDMI 2.1) and is also equipped with an Internet LAN and the latest Wi-Fi 6 wireless technology.
It has a quad-core ARM Cortex A73 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. A pair of 12W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and HDR (Dolby Vision) capabilities round out the configuration.
Hisense's game TV is already available in China for around $865. It's not awful for its features, and there aren't many TVs dedicated to specialized games.
