Janet Jackson made a documentary about her life: "This is my story told by me"
The documentary "Janet" will be released in January, and the first teaser has just been dropped.
It's time for Janet Jackson to tell her story. On Monday, the singer shared the first teaser trailer for her upcoming documentary, “Janet,” which will air two nights in January 2022 on Lifetime and A&E to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut album.
The film begins with excerpts from interviews with Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, and Paula Abdul, which talk about Janet Jackson's eventful music career.
"This is what a superstar looks like," said Missy Elliott.
"She is a strong woman," Mariah Carey added before Abdul called Janet "a power you can count on."
Despite her great popularity, for her brother "Tito" Jackson, "Janet will always be my younger sister."
The trailer announcing the documentary shows footage from Janet Jackson's entire life and career, and there is also archive footage of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur.
"This is my story told by me. Not through other people's eyes" said Janet Jackson, writes people.com.
