Johnny Depp got his first role after divorce!

The film industry closed the doors to Johnny due to accusations by his ex-wife Amber Heard of mental and physical abuse, but he is returning to filming.

The actor lost his role as Grindelwald in the 'Wonder Beast' franchise at the request of the production company due to allegations of abuse, and after that it was almost impossible for him to find a new role. Still, things seem to have changed for him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp is set to play the controversial French King Louis XV in a film directed by French director Maïwenn Le Besco, which is set to begin shooting this summer. The actor played his last role in the 2020 film 'Minamata', which he also produced. Depp wanted to get his career back on track with this film, but he didn't quite succeed.

Recently, the first teaser for the latest Fantastic Beasts: 'The Secrets of Dumbledore' came out, in which fans first saw Mads Mikkelsen in the role of Grindelwald, otherwise played by Johnny Depp. Numerous fans have expressed their dissatisfaction that Depp is no longer part of the franchise.

"Bring Johnny Depp back," "I love this franchise, but it's not worth watching without Johnny Depp," "No Johnny Depp? Thank you very much, but I won't watch," "What you did to Depp is unforgivable!", "Johnny is the one and only real Grindelwald, ” "I hope your ratings will be bad, ”are some of the comments from disgruntled fans from Instagram.

Although Hollywood was boycotting him, his fans always were by his side. “I’m proud of these people because what they’re trying to get out is the truth that fails to reach the media,” Depp said, adding that he still has no plans to stop making films and is looking forward to it.

Let us remind you, Heard filed for divorce in 2016, and added a charge of domestic abuse. The actor, on the other hand, claimed that the actress abused him, and the court ruled in her favor.

Recall, the Hollywood actor, after a tumultuous divorce, which dragged on in the courts for months, sued the British tabloid The Sun for defamation for their articles in which they described him as a 'bully 'who beat up a woman’.

In November 2020, Depp lost that dispute. "The Sun managed to prove that what was written in the disputed text is essentially true information. I came to such a conclusion after the defense in the courtroom presented the details of the above 14 incidents " Judge Andrew Nicol concluded the hearing at the time.
