Johnny Depp starts to sell his NFT
The collection is named "Never Fear Truth" and has more than 10 thousand up for sale in which he represents some of his old friends and personal heroes
We are mostly familiar with Johny Depp's (58) work as an actor, film director even as musician and producer but as he announced plans to sell NFT-s (non-fungible tokens) based on his personal work we get to see him in the role of an artist.
The collection is named "Never Fear Truth" and has more than 10 thousand up for sale in which he represents some of his old friends and personal heroes and it includes Marlon Brando, Tim Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Hunter S. Thompson, Heath Ledger, Depp’s late dog Mooh, Depp himself and his family members and even a portrait of his dog Mooh.
Sales
The whole collection is originally developed from Depp's artwork which has been embellished and animated into 11,111 NFTs. A non-fungible token is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain. The official site neverfeartruth.com was launched last January 26 and on February 17, 2022, some of NFT will be offered for sale. Every NFT is in a high-resolution physical edition.
The purpose of selling this artwork is also a humanitarian work reportedly 25 percent of all proceeds from sales will be donated to the hospitals or the charities supported by Depp and to the hospitals in Los Angeles and London. He also said in one of the statements that he always used his art to express himself and his feelings and to reflect on those who matter the most to him. Depp also said that he is hoping that this will create a new community of friends and that his involvement in NFT only just began.
Everyone who buys some of Depp's artwork from "Never Fear Truth" NFT will be given special access to his Discord community. There they will be allowed to collaborate on some of the new upcoming creative projects.
Depps big recovery
It is good to know that even with this new and great project Johny also recently landed his first big role in a movie after a long time. As we know his last role was back in 2020 in the movie he produced called "Minimata". This new project will show us, Johnny Depp, in the role of King Louis XV and will set him off to France. The movie is directed by French director Maïwenn, who will be also acting in the movie as Jeanne du Barry, who is known to be countess that was Louis XV’s last mistress. The official name and plot of the movie are yet to be revealed but we do know that the movie is scheduled to start filming this summer. Some of the reports say that filming will last three months and will be filmed mostly in the Versailles Palace.
