Kanye West soon in court!
Although Kanye was always correct to cooperate, this time he did not follow all the codes. Since he did not return more than a dozen clothing combinations, he is awaiting a lawsuit and the payment of a large amount of compensation.
According to the media reports, David Casavant sued the well-known performer for more than $400,000, and that clothing rental service claims that Kanye has been owing them compensation for unreturned items for years. According to TMZ, West stopped paying rent back in 2020 for 13 "rare, prized pieces" he never returned to the privately held clothing company, which is frequented by other celebrity clients, including Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Tom Brady, and others. The difference between them and Kanye is that they, among other things, paid for the clothes they were renting.
The company says that they have been working with Kanye since 2014 and that this is the first problem with him. They claim that he rented 49 items of clothing in February and March 2020 and returned 36 of them, while at the end of October 2020, Ye stopped paying fees for the remaining 13 items. Kanye has reportedly kept and is no longer paying for designer items from Helmut Lang, Raf Simons, and Ann Demeulemeester, including hoodies, pants, and a $50k jacket.

This is not the only problem for Kanye. Marshall Jefferson sued Kanye West over a sample of his song "Move Your Body." Jefferson's publisher, Ultra International Music Publishing, filed the lawsuit in New York District Court on Wednesday (June 29). Kanye and his team have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Marshall Jefferson claims Kanye West sampled his 1986 hit, "Move Your Body," at least 22 times, without proper approval, on his Donda 2 track, "Flowers." Kanye West and Marshall are both from Chicago, so this was especially disappointing for the House legend.
AllMusic.com states that Marshall Jefferson is one of the original innovators of the Chicago house scene and was involved in several of the most influential early songs. As a solo artist, he recorded "Move Your Body" in 1986 - subtitled and unanimously acclaimed "The House Music Anthem". Jefferson also contributed to Phuture's “Acid Tracks”, the first and best acid-house single.
