Katy Perry has returned to the spotlight amid claims that she is expecting her second child.
Daisy Dove, the 37-year-old actress's daughter, will celebrate her second birthday in August. However, some admirers believe she is expecting her second child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
Katy was spotted laying her hand on her stomach during a recent performance in Las Vegas, with some spectators stating she was also stroking her tummy.
Fans reacted quickly, with many expressing their delight at the possibility of a pregnancy. However, not everyone in Katy's fan base was blown away.
A second expressed regret for the rumors to the celebrity. "Please accept my apologies for questioning about your pregnancy and whether or not you saw this."
"I didn't say you were but seeing you touch your stomach made me wonder. But the others said you do it all the time, so there you have it, I'm sorry, and I love you."
Katy and Orlando have been dating since 2018 and were engaged the following year on Valentine's Day. They announced their first child together on March 5, 2020, in the music video for Katy's track Never Worn White.
The pair claimed they were "flying with joy and wonder" when their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, arrived safely on August 27.
Katy and Orlando prefer to keep their baby daughter out of the spotlight, although Katy did share a brief glimpse into their home life together last year. Katy confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that their daughter is speaking and learning both English and Spanish.
"She's talking," she admitted. "But she believes that everything is a cat. When someone walks in, she says, 'Hi, gato!' I'm not sure why she's so taken with cats."
Katy went on: "It's crazy because people who like my music refer to themselves as Katy Cats. She doesn't know anything about it, and she doesn't care about it, but for some reason, 'gato,' which is the Spanish word for cat, has become the most important word in her life. It feels like fate."
