Cat Deeley Shares Exciting News
Cat Deeley has announced the debut of a new podcast series with radio DJ Edith Bowman, one of her closest friends.
The 45-year-old said on Instagram on Monday that the duo would be joined by famous visitors and will share friendship highs and lows, as well as pleasant memories and amusing anecdotes, each week.
"The secret has been revealed... She wrote, "We've got a whole new @bbcradio2 podcast @edibow!!" "Each week, we'll talk to a superstar and their closest friend to learn more about their bond.
"I'm very happy for you to hear it: go to @bbcsounds right now and listen! We'll be on @zoetheball's morning program tomorrow."
Edith, who is 48 years old, added: "WE CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT IT. @catdeeley and I have only recently purchased a new show... #friendswillbefriends @bbcradio2 @bbcsounds I'm looking forward to hearing it from you."
The duo stated in a statement: "Friends Will Be Friends is our newest project, and we are really enthusiastic about it. It's a concept we came up with to honor our personal friendship while also exploring the lovely and unique relationships that friendship can bring to us all. For the past 20 years, ours has stood the test of time, distance, and collaboration. May it continue for a long time."
Fans and celebrity pals alike were quick to respond, with one writing: "What a thrilling prospect! I can't wait to hear it." "Cat and Edith are back," said another. A third article stated: "This is fantastic news. Ladies, you did an excellent job."
Cat and Edith have a long history dating back to their time as co-hosts of Hitlist UK in the 1990s. Their bond has endured not just the passage of time, but also the fact that they live on different countries. Now that they're back in the same nation, the two ladies are anxious to spend as much time together as possible.
Last year, Edith told HELLO! about their strong friendship: "I'm not sure what to say about Cat Deeley. If she had to be a Mr Men/Little Miss figure, she'd be Little Miss Bubbles for a variety of reasons, including her love of a drink of bubbly and the brightness and enthusiasm she imparts to anybody within a mile radius."
