Kelly Clarkson About Divorce
The couple has two kids together.
Kelly Clarkson's divorce from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, has finally been finalized, and it has not been cheap.
According to court records obtained by The Blast, the singer will pay the father of her children, River and Remington, a one-time payment of $1.3 million, followed by a monthly child support payment of $45,601.
Furthermore, the 39-year-old will pay Brandon $115,000 every month in spousal support until January 31, 2024.
They have decided to share custody of their children, although River and Remington will live at Kelly's house in Los Angeles.
As part of the arrangement, their children will be vaccinated against COVID-19 since they will be traveling out of state to see Brandon at his Montana ranch.
While The Voice star's management has yet to respond, Kelly has taken to social media in response to the news.
She didn't mention the divorce, but she did make a dramatic statement by showing off her outfit from the ACM Awards.
Kelly stood tall in a gorgeous floor-length gown, thanking her glam crew in the message.
Kelly's mind will most certainly be relieved by the settlement, which has been underway since 2020 when she filed for divorce after seven years of marriage.
Last July, the mother of two was deemed legally single, and court records stated that "both deserve the opportunity to create a new life."
Kelly and Brandon divided their assets in addition to the monetary settlement.
According to the court filings, she will keep the family pets, a flying simulator, and multiple automobiles.
Brandon will take their animals, farm cattle, horses, and a variety of vehicles, including an ATV, as well as some extremely costly jewelry.
