Kevin Spacey to face UK court

Actor Kevin Spacey will appear before a jury in the UK court on Thursday, June 16, due to four charges of sexual assault on three men. The BBC announced this information, which they received from the police, while the actor has not yet commented on the allegations. Some time ago, the British authorities requested the extradition of the actor who was in the United States, in order to face the accusations of sexual assault.

The star of the series "House of Cards" recently commented on the accusations against him, of sexual violence. “I am glad that the media and the public were drawn to the fact that I really have the right to a fair fight, i.e. that I am not guilty until they accuse me” - he pointed out a few days after the scandal became known, in a statement for "GMA". "I am disappointed that the indictments have passed, but I am certainly coming to Britain voluntarily and to court as soon as possible to defend myself. I am sure that I will succeed in that," it is further stated.

Recall, the trouble for Kevin Spacey began in 2017, when he was removed from the Netflix hit after the same year, over twenty young men accused him of sexual abuse and inappropriate behavior. The actor was reported by associates of the legendary London theater "Old Vic", whose artistic director he was from 2004 to 2015, and the problem was that he allegedly used a position of power to get closer to the victims and embarrass the theater.

The Oscar-winning actor has largely disappeared from the public eye since he was accused of sexual abuse five years ago. In November 2017, London’s Old Vic Theater announced that they had received 20 separate allegations of Spacey’s misconduct from 20 men who came in contact with him at the theater between 1995 and 2013. Spacey, who won an Oscar for Best Actor in "American Beauty" and Best Supporting Actor in "The Usual Suspects," has previously dismissed all allegations of misconduct.
