Kim Cattrall Shares Rare Family Video
Fans of the former Sex and the City star may be found all over the world.
Kim Cattrall had reason to rejoice on Mother's Day in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
The former Sex and the City star paid a poignant tribute to her mother Gladys on Instagram.
The Samantha Jones actress shared a video of her mother singing in an armchair, and she said in the comment that she couldn't remember what song it was and would love it if someone could tell her.
"Happy Mother's Day in the United Kingdom! Our mother was serenading us. Is anyone familiar with the jingle that Mum is singing? She couldn't recall anything. Your assistance is much appreciated. Give your mother a warm embrace!" she penned
Kim's fans rushed to her aid, with many concluding that it was Oh! Mr. Porter.
One person wrote: "Oh, no! Mr. Porter is a song about a girl who has boarded the incorrect train in the United Kingdom. It was reportedly part of the singers' repertoires, and there is old school footage of the performers singing it on YouTube'oh! Mr. Porter,' while another said, "Aww fantastic, it brings me back to when my mother used to sing that to me."
A third has been added: "Oh, no! Mr. Porter is a song from the British Music Hall. There was a 1966 version of it as well, with the lyrics changed to Liverpool, so maybe she remembers it as well! Beautiful voice."
Kim recently celebrated her mother's 93rd birthday and commemorated the event by posting a series of photos of the two of them together on social media.
"Mum, I wish you a very happy 93rd birthday! You've seen it everything, and we're lucky you're still here "she penned
While many were disappointed that she would not be returning to the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, Kim is making waves on television after joining the cast of How I Met Your Father, which aired earlier this year.
The 65-year-old portrays an older version of Hilary Duff's character Sophie, who, like the late actor Bob Saget in the original series, is telling her son the tale of how she met his father.
