Kobe and Vanessa were in love until the end!

Two years ago, tragic news broke that a famous Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, Kobe Bryant, died in a helicopter crash near the city of Calabasas, California. Along with him, eight others lost their lives in the plane, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. They were traveling to a game of Gianna's basketball team coached by Kobe, and the pilot lost control of the helicopter due to thick fog and crashed into a mountain.

At the time of the tragedy, with them were baseball coach John Altobelli with wife Carrie and daughter Alyssa, basketball coach Christina Mauser and young basketball player Payton Chester with mother Sarah. Behind Kobe and Gianna left an inconsolable wife, Vanessa Bryant, and their three daughters.

Much attention was drawn to the interview of former basketball player Tracy McGrady. Visiting Rachel Nichols on ESPN, he recalled Kobe and revealed how he often told him he wanted to die young.

"He was saying,' I want to die young. ' I thought he was crazy. He would say, ‘I want to die young and become immortal. My career will be better than Jordan's and I then want to die young. ' I thought he was crazy because he repeated that. Apparently, he said that before he had children. I'm sure he didn't think that way after the children," said Tracy at the time.

In addition to a great basketball career during which he won five NBA titles, Kobe was followed by scandals throughout his life. He was arrested in the summer of 2003 after a 19-year-old hotel employee in the Colorado town of Eagle accused him of raping her. Bryant admitted they had an affair, but denied the rape. The accusation damaged his public image and he lost contracts with sponsors. In September 2004, the charge was dropped after the girl refused to testify at trial. After that, the basketball player publicly apologized. The girl later filed a private lawsuit, which was resolved.

After his death, the scandal was brought back into the public spotlight by actress Evan Rachel Wood, spreading the story that he was a rapist. His wife, Vanessa, responded to her via an Instagram story.

"It is disgusting your rude and slanderous post in which you called my Koby a rapist. Precisely because of such behavior, innocent African Americans often have to go to jail for acts they did not commit. Such accusations do not mean that someone is guilty ", Vanessa answered angrily.

Kobe and Vanessa married in 2001. Their first daughter, Natalia, was born in 2003, and two years later Vannesa had an abortion. The second daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore, was born in 2006, and Vannes filed for divorce in 2011. However, the couple postponed the divorce and two years later pointed out that they had decided to stay together and work on their marriage. In 2016, they had a third daughter, Bianca, and in 2019 a fourth Capri.

Although the public was aware that the basketball player was not faithful to her, the American media claim that Vanessa was not faithful to her husband either. They claim that she cheated on him with one of his teammates. It was never known who it was, and Vanessa herself never commented on the posts.

After all, one thing is sure. They stayed together and made their relationship and marriage work because they loved each other.
