The music group Little Mix made up of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock has announced that they are splitting up after “10 Great Years”.
See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie. "
We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix. It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects. We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much.
The news came after weeks of rumors that the group could break up, leaving many fans inconsolable.
"Stop, I'm crying," "I'm crying and sliding down the wall right now. I love you so much, girls, you've been a cure for my soul," read some of the comments from disappointed fans.
We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay
We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more
The group Little Mix rose to fame after the girls became the first group to win the British version of The X Factor in 2011.
The group has released six studio albums, DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015), Glory Days (2016), LM5 (2018) and Confetti (2020), all of which have peaked inside the top five of the UK Albums Chart, making them the first girl group to score five top-five studio albums in the UK.
They have been described as one of the greatest girl groups of all time, and in 2021 they were described as "the biggest girl group in the world".
