"Nosferatu" - the first look at the remake!
One of the most anticipated horror movies is coming next year.
One of the most anticipated horror movies coming next year is certainly the remake of "Nosferatu". The director and screenwriter is Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman), and the cast is very interesting.
Thus, in the role of Count Orlok aka Nosferatu, we will see Bill Skarsgård, who already has experience with the interpretation of cult monsters. The focus of the film is the character of Ellen Hutter, played by Lily-Rose Depp, while Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Ellen's husband, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Friedrich Harding, a rich shipping merchant who is also Thomas's friend, awaits us in the other roles. That small group will suddenly find themselves in the darkest moments of their lives when they come face to face with a legendary being more powerful than anything they could have imagined.
Empire just gave us the first look at the film, in the form of an exclusive photo that reveals the character of Ellen.

Robert Eggers' Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman in 19th-century Germany and an ancient Transylvanian vampire who stalks her, bringing unspeakable horror with him.
Unlike previous versions of the story, this adaptation will focus on Ellen and her perspective as she is pursued by a vampire. "It's even more Ellen's story than previous versions," Eggers stated. "And Lily-Rose is absolutely phenomenal," he added.
“Yes, it's a scary movie. It's a horror movie. It's a gothic horror movie. And I really don't think there's been an old-school gothic movie that's actually scary in a long time. And I think most audiences will find that to be the case here.” - said the director.
He also had something to say about the transformation of Bill Skarsgård: “I will say that Bill has transformed so much that I'm afraid he might not get the credit he deserves because he's just… he's not there. He wanted to honor those who came before him. It's all very subtle. But I think the main thing is that he is even more of a vampire than the people. In my opinion, he looks like a dead Transylvanian nobleman, in a way that we've never seen what an actual dead Transylvanian nobleman would look like and dress like."
Nosferatu will arrive in cinemas in 2024, the exact date is not yet known. In addition to the previously mentioned actors, we will also see Willem Dafoe, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, and Ralph Ineson in the film.
