PRINCE HARRY IN TROUBLE AGAIN: Citizens banded together against him
An expert on the royal family has launched a petition signed by more than 30,000 people.
Prince Harry and his wife, former actress Meghan Markle more than a year ago abdicated their royal duties and moved to California. However, they still bear the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The royal couple had previously been called upon to relinquish the title, especially after giving shocking details about the royal family in an interview given to host Oprah Winfrey. Now more than 30,000 people have signed a petition in which they want Harry to give up his royal titles, writes the Independent.
'That would be the right decision,' Lady Campbell, a royal family expert who launched the petition, told foreign media. She believes that Harry no longer needs the title and would preserve the dignity of the whole family if he renounces it. ‘I’ve talked to a lot of people, this is the path Harry needs to take and this is the solution to the problem,’ Campbell said, explaining that it would be fairest for Harry to go to Queen Elizabeth himself and ask her to rid him of the titles.
But the Queen always has an understanding for all of Harry's actions. Early last year, in one of the reports, she wrote that the prince, his wife, and their now two-year-old son Archie will always be much-loved family members.
‘I recognize the challenges they have experienced under the magnifying glass of the public over the last two years and I support their desire for a more independent life. I want to thank them for their dedicated work in this country, in the Commonwealth, and beyond, and I am especially proud that Meghan has become part of our family so quickly. My family hopes that the agreement reached today will enable them to start a happy and peaceful new life, 'the queen added.
