Sean Penn is divorcing his 32-year-younger wife Leila George: They only lasted a year

Actor Sean Penn (61) is divorcing his wife Leila George (29), who filed for divorce after only a year of marriage, TMZ reports.
The Australian actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles County High Court on Friday. The reason for their split is currently unknown.
Sean started dating Leila, who is the daughter of actor Vincent D’Onofri, back in 2016. It was revealed that the couple secretly got married in August 2020 when activist Irena Medavoy congratulated them on tying the knot on her Instagram.
Among the published photos of the couple was a photo of a sapphire ring, which seemed to be a wedding ring. This was Sean's third marriage.

The marriage was further confirmed when the couple received congratulations from Josh Brolin who starred with Sean in the films “Milk” and “Gangster Squad”. Leila was Sean’s third wife, and he was previously married to Madonna (63) and Robin Wright (55).
Also, Sean was in a relationship with actress Charlize Theron in late 2013, and they broke up in the summer of 2015. While Sean is known for his impressive filmography, Leila’s acting career is still on the rise.
She is best known for her roles in the films "Mortal Engines", "Animal Kingdom" and "The Kid". Before starting her acting career, Leila studied at the Sydney Film Academy.
Despite coming from a famous family, very little is known about the young actress.
