Segway’s electric scooter accessory
Summer is almost approaching, which means that there will be an increase in the number of electric scooters on the roads (and sidewalks). It is critical for pedestrian drivers to see and hear them in order to avoid them. Segway handled the latest.
Many countries have not entirely handled the issue of electric scooter safety. Drivers would have to drive more slowly and cautiously in order to avoid colliding with pedestrians. The latest, slightly strange, Segway addition for electric scooters has been created for scenarios like this.
The Segway Engine Wireless Speaker is, as the name implies, a 4x8 W wireless speaker that attaches to a Ninebot-branded scooter, electric moped, or comparable silent vehicle.
Its goal is to generate noise in order to make driving safer. This noise could be any sound or music streamed via Bluetooth from a mobile device, or it could be one of the built-in sounds.
This speaker can replicate the sound of an internal combustion engine, such as those seen in smaller scooters, with two or two cylinders. There are even sounds of automobile V8 or V12 engines for the more daring.
The strength of the sound in this mode is determined by how the car is driven, i.e. the speaker adjusts the sound to speed, acceleration, braking, and other factors.
The Segway Engine Wireless Speaker is water and dust resistant (IP55), and the 2,200 mAh battery charges in 2 and a half hours through a USB-C interface, providing up to 23 hours of music or engine noise playback. It will set you back $150.
The first professional electric scooter races start in May
The eSkootr Championship will be a class of e-cars that can reach speeds of over 100 km / h, and the first championship race of these vehicles will be held on May 14 in London.
The organizers describe the new electric scooter races as "fast, entertaining, and dynamic," with the formal first race taking place on May 14 in London.
A series of electric racing electric vehicles was revealed in the summer of 2020 and will be available this spring. It should be a great event, according to the organizers.
Thirty drivers have already signed up to race on little but powerful scooters. The track will be located in the former Printworks printing house's multipurpose space in London, and the circle will be around 600 meters long.
Scooters will be able to race at dizzying speeds for such small (11-inch) wheels on the circuit, even exceeding 100 km/h.
The eSkootr World Championship will be held in six different locales. Following London, races will be held in Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, and the United States.
They will be attended by ten teams, each with three drivers (both men and women), and at the end of the season, the first world champion or champion in this dangerous, but possibly attractive sport, will be announced.
