Shannen Doherty spoke about the fight against a serious illness: "I don't want to act like I'm dying."
Shannen Doherty has revealed new details on the show "Good Morning America" about battling a serious illness she has been battling for some time.
American actress and star of the series "Beverly Hills" Shannen Doherty spoke about her current condition and the difficult fight she is leading in the fourth stage of breast cancer.
"I don't want to act like I'm dying. I want to work and act like nothing's happening because I'm going to fight to stay alive, " the 50-year-old actress told Good Morning America to appease worried fans around the world.
The news that her illness was in the fourth stage was revealed in February 2020, three years after it was found out that she was in remission.
She says that she is very busy at the moment, but also that she spends a lot of time in the company of family and friends.
"Many people diagnosed with stage IV disease simply write themselves off. Assume they can't do anything anymore, that they can't do their best, and that's not true. I wish such thoughts could change and give myself a chance to prove that it’s wrong, ”she said.

She added that she is going through the first phase of treatment, which she explains as a great success.
Shannen first encountered the diagnosis in March 2015, and a year later had a mastectomy.
