Sting and Trudie Styler's love story
Sting and Trudie Styler have been married since 1992 and recently won the award for the olive oil they produce on their Tuscan estate.
Sting (70) built an enviable music career with the rock band The Police, and for some time he dedicated himself to olive growing with his wife, actress Trudie Styler (68). The singer’s effort paid off as he won the ‘Three Leaves’ award for the olive oil he produced on his Il Palagio farm in Tuscany.
‘This variety yields intense extra virgin olive oil with golden reflections, fine, aromatic, delicious and fruity, with a touch of spice and bitterness,’ said Sting, who is proud of the award given by the leading culinary guide Gambero Rosso.
The rock star and wife on their estate, which they bought in 1997, also produce wine, honey and salami. A musician once said that good food and good music are connected.
‘If I don’t eat well, I can’t sing,’ he explained. By the way, Sting, whose real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, has been married to Trudie Styler since 1992 and they have four children.
In his first marriage to actress Frances Tomelty (73) from 1976 to 1984, he had two children. Sting has been in the public spotlight for years because of his statement about seven hours of tantric sex with his wife Trudie. Many were surprised by his statement and admired the couple, and then the musician finally explained what he meant.
'If we had seven hours, I would demonstrate,' he joked in an interview.'Maybe not. But there is some truth in that. The idea of tantric sex is based on a spiritual act. I know of no purer and better way to express love for two individuals than to share this wonderful, as I would call it, sacrament. I stand by it. Not with seven hours, but those ideas. Seven o'clock includes a movie and dinner, 'he added.
Trudie once referred to rumors of tantric sex and said she blamed musician Bob Geldof for having an interview with a reporter along with her husband because they drank along the way.
‘At one point a reporter asked them about their sexual abilities and Geldof said that Sting can make love for hours because he practices yoga. And my husband asked, 'Well, haven't you heard of tantric sex?' It's really caring for the partner, increasing intimacy with him, 'said Trudie.
It is interesting to many that the couple met in the 70s because Trudie was the best friend of his first wife Frances and she lived in their neighborhood. 'None of us are proud of a situation that just happened. We loved each other, got married and had more children. That's our story, ' said Trudie.
