Sting announces new album in November: "The Bridge" was created during the pandemic, and talks about personal losses

"I’m certainly not the first songwriter to equate falling in or out of love with an incurable sickness, nor will I be the last,” Sting said ’’If It’s Love’ is my addition to that canon where the tropes of metaphorical symptoms, diagnosis, and downright incapacity are all familiar enough to make each of us smile truthfully," Sting added, according to Rolling stone.

The album "The Bridge" was created during the coronavirus pandemic, and it talks about personal losses, separation, and social and political turmoil.

"These songs describe life and death, human relationships as well as the time of the pandemic in which many social and political changes are taking place. We all feel stuck in trouble. We need a bridge," he said.

"The Bridge" will contain 13 songs and will be released in several formats, including standard and deluxe CD, vinyl, and cassette.
