The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D sells out in 24 hours

Since AMD launched the Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU, anticipation for what the company calls the fastest chip for gaming has skyrocketed.

And this is understandable, given that its specifications do not go unnoticed, both for its speed of 4.5 gigahertz (which some have already dared to increase) and for its one hundred megabytes of L2 and L3 cache.

This integration is the main AMD response to Intel's eleventh generation of Core in the field of gaming.

AMD recently released dates and prices for its new chipsets, and we learned that the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D would be available on April 20 for $449.

A price comparable to its major opponent, the Intel Core i7-12700K, but in chip-oriented millimeters in the gaming industry, in what appears to me to be a rather savvy move on AMD's part and that, according to preliminary data, would have worked wonderfully.

And it is that, as we can read in Wccftech, all of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D units put up for sale in the US retail market were sold out in just 24 hours, a clear indication of the interest in the first desktop processor that uses 3D-Cache technology, which allows cache memory modules to be stacked vertically inside the integrated one, thus maximizing its capacity.

It's not all good news, though. And it is that, as you may have guessed, a few hours after its retail debut, the first units of the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D began to surface in what is lovingly referred to as the secondary market, which in reality is nothing more than the already classic and filthy resale.

The first "offers" upped its price from $449 to $599, and it has already been shown that a reseller will raise its price to $999. We don't want to get into the reselling discussion right now but we believe we urgently want death rays.

Regardless, and although we wait to see if AMD has the capacity to deliver additional Ryzen 7 5800X3D to market in the short and medium-term, it appears beyond doubt that AMD, both by design and marketing, has a strong presence in the market.

It has done it honorably with this chip, demonstrating that it is still capable of waging the battle of high performance with Intel, as well as producing a few extra points of expectation with the future generation of chips, which promise a lot and very well.
