The awesome health benefits of Salmon

When delicious, juicy and healthy food is found on our plate, then we know that we are doing a good thing for our health, and at the same time, we satisfy all our senses with pleasant smells and tastes. There are very few foods that we consume that are nutritionally complete on their own, and at the same time quite tasty. Fortunately, salmon is just such a food and that is its main advantage, and that is why it stands out, not only from other fish specialties and fish but also from other foods that we use in our diet every day.

Salmon mostly live in the oceans or seas. It grows up to 150 centimeters and can weigh up to 60 kilograms. Their habitat is the Arctic Ocean, and there are some in the Baltic and the northern part of the Atlantic. Interestingly, when they spawn, they travel a long way, over 1000 kilometers, to rivers and lakes. On this road, they encounter various obstacles, but salmon are extremely persistent, and it seems that these obstacles are not a problem for them.

Due to all the benefits that salmon has and the desire of people to consume it as often as possible, due to the juiciness and taste, they were caught, and very few wild salmon can be found in nature. Farmed salmon can mostly be found in shops, restaurants, and fish markets. However, there is not much difference between these species, because farmed salmon are also characterized by benefits that are difficult to find in other foods.

As we have already mentioned - salmon is a nutritionally complete food. And this applies to all species of salmon, although these values vary from species to species. All the figures go in favor of this fish. What you need to know is that with just one serving of salmon, of just 100 grams, you are ingesting gout you need for one day. More precisely - 100 grams of salmon contains about 200 calories, which are mostly distributed in proteins and fats. This means that by consuming just one serving, you get about 20 grams of protein, which is an ideal daily protein intake, according to numerous scientific studies. What you also need to know is the fact that salmon proteins are very easy to digest. When it comes to fat, 100 grams of salmon contains about 13 grams of fat. Of course, like other types of fish, salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids

In addition to protein and fat, salmon is rich in vitamins, which are important for human health. Vitamin D should be singled out, which is not very common in other foods. Then, vitamin B should be extracted, and potassium and selenium are specially extracted from minerals. Interestingly, 100 grams of salmon has more potassium than one banana. Vitamins A, E, and K, as well as magnesium, and phosphorus, should be singled out from other vitamins.
