"The Curse" – new satirical comedy with Emma Stone!
Emma Stone is the star of a new comedy series.
A teaser for the upcoming series "The Curse" is released. Behind this project is the Showtime channel and the production company A24, better known for its original films. It is a comedy, created by Nathan Fidler and Benny Safdi, and both authors together with Emma Stone play the main characters of the series.
Fidler and Stone are Escher and Whitney Siegel, a young married couple who host a home renovation reality show called "Flipanthropy". The mysterious producer of the reality show is Dougi, played by Benny Safdi. This young married couple is trying to bring the concept of eco-housing to the Espanyol community in New Mexico. Their endeavors are further complicated when an eccentric reality show producer, Dougie, tries to capitalize on their story. As the series progresses, this couple becomes increasingly entangled in a mysterious web of ethical and moral issues while trying not to jeopardize their relationship.
Although at first, everything goes according to plan because the reality show is successful and the Siegels hope to finally have a child, their life is turned upside down during the renovation of a house in New Mexico, where they become victims of a mysterious curse that destroys their relationship.
According to foreign media, the first three episodes of the series "The Curse" will be shown at the New York Film Festival, where another project of Emma Stone will be presented - the film "Poor Things" directed by Giorgos Lanthimos, which won the Golden Lion in Venice this year . From November of this year, "The Curse" is available on the streaming platforms Paramount+ and Showtime.
Recall, that ahead of its exclusive screening at the Stockholm International Film Festival, SkyShowtime confirmed that "The Curse" will be available on the service from Friday 5 January. The first five episodes of the original SkyShowtime series will be available to stream on the day of the premiere, with the remaining five episodes available on Friday 16 February.
