Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa, 68, were married in 1991 and had three children, daughter Jessica Rae and sons Sam Ryan and Evan James.
The daughter of rock legend Bruce Springsteen (71), Jessica Rae Springsteen (29), and America's riding champion has now achieved another dream. The middle Springsteen daughter has been given a chance of life and is preparing to travel to Tokyo for the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were initially postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Jessica thus joined the American national team, which also includes Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut, and McLain Ward. She is accompanied to Tokyo by 12-year-old stallion Don Juan Van de Donkhoeve, with whom she has won numerous tournaments, and everyone hopes that she will hang a medal from the Olympic Games around his neck.
Jessica studied psychology at Duke University and has always stressed that she doesn’t want the public to know her solely as the daughter of the famous Bruce Springsteen.
"She always said she didn't want to be known only as the daughter of Bruce Springsteen. She wanted to leave her mark and is well on her way. Thanks to her talent, she is one of the most promising in her category," the legendary American rider gold medalist at the 1984 Olympics Melanie Smith Taylor said of her successor.
Jessica has been riding since she was four, and fell in love with horses at the family’s ‘Stone Hill Farm’ in New Jersey. Two years later, at just six years old, she got her first pony with which she started winning medals.
