The family of George Michael strongly denied that a film is being made about the famous musician
"We want to make it clear that there is no truth in this story," according to the official statement.
In recent days, the world media has reported that a biographical feature film about George Michael is in the works, with the approval of his family.
The heirs of the iconic musician, however, have fiercely denounced the initiative, calling the information regarding their blessing for the film a falsehood and emphasizing that they will not support the project in any way.

"We are informing all of George's fans and fans of his music that news has been released stating that George Michael's family has approved a so-called 'biopic' about his life. On behalf of George's family and GME (George Michael Entertainment), we want to make it clear that there is no truth in this story, we know nothing about this project and we will not support it in any way", the family said in a statement, in response to a recently published article in the Daily Mail in which "White Lotus" star Theo James stands out as the top favorite for the role of George Michael.
According to the Daily Mail, Michael's endowment approved the $100 million picture "after the success of the Elton John and Freddie Mercury biopics."
They also added that, according to an anonymous source, "the script is in the final stages," but did not specify who is carrying out this project.
Let us remind you that last year saw the release of the documentary "George Michael Freedom Uncut," which traces the life of one of the greatest pop music performers of all time from the release of his first solo album "Faith" in 1987 to the global success he achieved in the years that followed.
