The new luxury BMW X7 saw the light of day
At the very top of the premium class of SUVs is the new BMW X7, a spacious and versatile city SUV that stands out with a front grille with distinctive "kidneys" and numerous luxury accessories.
BMW has introduced the new X7 SUV, the most luxurious but most popular representative of this brand among high-end city SUVs. The Bavarian company points out that the X7 is the central pillar of their offensive in the most exclusive premium segment, which they call the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV).
The new model brings recognizable oversized "kidneys" on the front grille, making BMW stand out from the rest, and there are other accessories reserved for the highest class: wheels up to 23 ″, a new iDrive system, a huge curved screen in the cabin and the option of mild hybrid drive in all offered powertrains.
The X7 is BMW's largest X-Series model, and the company is now positioning it as the flagship of its offering, with a prominent design signature, new, completely redesigned split-design matrix LED lights, and a front grille that can illuminate the kidneys with a new option called Iconic Glow.
X7 will also offer the M Sport, sports equipment package, which will bring additional sports details inside and out to the MW X7 M60i xDrive, for which the metallic blue Marina Bay Blue or Sparkling Copper Gray is reserved.
The BMW X7 brings three rows of seats covered with the highest quality materials in its spacious cab. The front is dominated by a large curved infotainment screen, which extends from the driver's instrument panel to the center of the vehicle. It consists of a 12.3-inch information screen and a 14.9-inch screen with vehicle function controls.
In addition, the ambient lighting and the gear lever have been redesigned. Other equipment includes the availability of a panoramic roof, four-zone air conditioning, Bowers & Wilkins surround audio system, active ventilation, and massage options in the seats.
When it comes to powertrains, the BMW X7 brings a 4.4-liter petrol V8 engine to the top of the range, the 530 hp BMW X7 M60i xDrive. For the BMW X7 xDrive40i, it is powered by an in-line 6-cylinder with 380 hp, and the third option is the BMW X7 xDrive40d, with an in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine with 352 hp.
All three motors also have the addition of a mild 48V hybrid, which transfers an additional 12 hp directly to the crankshaft from the electric motor/starter and adds 200 Nm of torque.
Drivers will have active adaptive cruise control, frontal collision avoidance systems, Stop & Go options, reversing cameras, a trailer driving assistant, and the new Manoeuvre Assistant - a system that remembers maneuvers up to 200 meters long. They can be parking, driving well-known routes, and the like, which the vehicle will perform fully automated, the way we "learn" it.
The new BMW X7 will go on sale in August this year.
