The youngest headliner in the history of the festival: Billie Eilish will perform at Glastonbury 2022.

American pop star Billie Eilish has been confirmed as the headliner, the leading star of the Glastonbury Festival in 2022 as the youngest performer ever entrusted with the role.

Eilish will perform on Friday night at the Glastonbury Festival on June 24, 2022.

The 19-year-old singer herself hinted at this by posting on her Instagram on Sunday. Organizer Emily Eavis points out that they are overjoyed with this choice because the singer will become the youngest headliner in the history of the festival.

This year’s festival featured, among others, Coldplay, Damon Albarn, Haim, Idles, Jorja Smith, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Wolf Alice, and DJ Honey Dijon.

Last year’s edition was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it was then that the Glastonbury Festival was scheduled to celebrate its 50th birthday.

Eilish found herself on the Glastonbury stage for the first time in 2019, and last week she walked the red carpet at the premiere of the latest James Bond film series “No Time To Die”.

It is the 25th film in the franchise, but the last with Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond. For the movie, Eilish recorded the main song.

Eilish co-wrote the song with her brother Finneas O'Connell, and Hans Zimmer and Johnny Marr also took part.

Glastonbury 2022 is scheduled to take place June 22-26, and tickets are already sold out.
