In January 2012, the couple had a second child, daughter Romy Hero, and a few months later, on June 21, they were married after three years of engagement. They had a wedding at a church in Somerset, England, and Sam took Aaron’s last name Johnson, as he took her Taylor.
The couple, who has always hidden their private lives, has pointed out that they will not talk about the details of the wedding. The media reported that Beyonce and Elton John were among their guests.
Aaron and Sam once gave a rare joint interview in 2019 on the occasion of the release of the film “A Million Little Pieces,” for which they co-wrote the screenplay and he starred in it, and she directed it.
"I know exactly what she was wearing when we met. It was a white T-shirt she still has and I love her. It changed my life, though not in the way I expected," the actor said.
Sam then revealed that Aaron told her he would marry her as soon as they finished filming the musical “John Lennon: The Boy Who Doesn’t Promise”. "We were professional throughout the filming. But everyone on the set knew about us. He told me he would marry me, and until then we hadn't been on a date or kissed," the director recalled.
The couple has been together for 13 years, and Sam once pointed out that they are rarely separated, but even then it is only two or three days. The couple lives in Los Angeles with their daughters and recently the media wrote that they are divorcing and selling one of their expensive properties.
