Gigi and Belle Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, was a model herself and was most celebrated by the American show ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which caused controversy.
Yolanda Hadid (57) is the mother of the most sought-after models of today, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and one of them was named the most beautiful woman in the world. It was Bella, and Yolanda herself was a model.
The 57-year-old was recently filmed by paparazzi in New York as she went with her boyfriend Joseph Jingoli to visit daughter Gigi Hadid, 26, to celebrate her granddaughter Khai’s first birthday. The couple met in 2019 while Yolanda was battling Lyme disease, caused by the bite of an infected tick. Subsequent symptoms include joint pain, neurological problems, heart problems, eye inflammation, liver inflammation, and severe fatigue. She once said that she could not write, read or watch television due to illness.
By the way, the real name of the former model is Yolanda van den Herik and she was born in the Dutch city of Papendrecht. She grew up in a Christian family and her father was killed in a car accident when she was seven years old.

She built her modeling career thanks to Dutch designer Frans Molenaar, who gave her the opportunity to appear at his fashion show and was spotted there by Eileen Ford. It is a woman, who ran Ford Models, one of the first fashion agencies to be recognized worldwide. Under her guidance, she appeared in fashion shows in Milan, Paris, and Tokyo and after 15 years of career moved to Los Angeles because of her husband Mohamed Hadid (72).
She married a real estate agent in 1994 and they had three children, daughters Gigi and Bella (24), who was named the most beautiful woman in the world by scientists due to her almost perfect facial proportions, and a son Anwar (22). Yolanda and Mohamed divorced in 2000, and 11 years later she stood in front of the altar again with musician David Foster (71). They divorced in 2017.
Despite her modeling career, Yolanda became most famous by appearing on the show 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, in which the public got to know her children better. Interestingly, both daughters and her son, who is dating singer Dua Lipa, are models.
Some reality scenes provoked public reactions and there was a lot of controversy about the way Yolanda controls her children’s careers. Namely, she insists that her daughters stick to their diets and told Gigi not to play volleyball because she will become too muscular.
‘You can have one cheat meal, but then you have to go back to a regular diet. You know, Paris and Milan like girls who are skinny, ' she told her when she celebrated her birthday two years ago.
' You're doing very well, Gigi, you're doing great. Aren't you proud? It is very difficult to exercise six days a week. It's hard not to eat sweets and it's very hard to eat a salad every day, but you see it pays off, ' she tried to soften her words afterward.
