Tom Cruise ended a short romance with a colleague 20 years younger, but they are facing a very awkward period

Tom Cruise and his 20-years younger colleague Hayley Atwell fell in love on the set of the new sequel from the "Mission Impossible" movie series, but their romance seems to have come to an end.

"Together they went through an intense filming period, but although they get along great, they decided to just stay friends. Tom has too many responsibilities and travels all the time, which is one of the reasons why their relationship failed," a source close to the actor told The Sun.

Tom, 59, and his 39-year-old colleague will have to continue working together on a new film that is nearing the end of filming, and their acquaintances say it could be a bit embarrassing for them.

The paparazzi followed in their footsteps for a while, and they broke up two months after they decided not to hide their relationship anymore. Now the former couple was at Wimbledon together last summer, and their touches and smiles made it clear that they are a couple. "Tom and Hayley fell in love at first sight," a source from the film set told The Sun at the time.

Recall, Tom’s marriage to Katie was doomed by his controversial Scientology faith that led her to move out of their shared home in 2012 in fear for herself and their daughter Suri. The actor has reportedly never seen his daughter since because his faith forbids him from associating with her because she is not a Scientologist.

Before Holmes, he was married to Nicole Kidman. The couple was married from 1990 to 2000 and together they adopted a son Connor and a daughter Isabella, and the children accepted the beliefs of the Church of Scientology because of Tom, and today they do not talk to their mother.

The first woman he was married to was also an actress Mimi Rogers, 65, and he married her in 1987. They divorced three years later, and allegedly it was she who introduced him to Scientology.
