Valve reveals the 10 most popular games on the Steam Deck

The game distribution behemoth announced it in a recent news update, along with a slew of other intriguing details. In reality, the majority of the information concentrates on it; but, there was also an area for some additional curiosity, such as the one at hand.

In essence, Valve divides games for the Steam Deck into four categories: those that are compatible and those that are not, with the latter divided into those that have been tested and tagged as unsupported and those that have yet to be tested.

As an example, on Steam, there are over 8,000 Linux-compatible games and over 20,000 Windows-compatible titles.

Similarly, we understood that, while Steam Deck has a little bit of everything, Valve is prioritizing - as it could not be otherwise - Steam Deck compatibility with the most popular and highly rated titles, so it is not strange that the list we provide next reflects such an approach.

As a result, the top ten most popular games on the Steam Deck are, in this order:

• vampire survivors
• Rogue Legacy 2
• Stardew Valley
• No Man's Sky
• Slay the Spire
• Hades
• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
• The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
• Opening Desk Job

Greg Coomer of Valve shared the list via his own Twitter account, with the apparent reflection on it: what games are we talking about? That is, it is obvious that the games are interoperable, but to what extent? There is no need to add in the highest-ranked, yet it is required.

Valve divides compatible games into two categories: those that are just "playable," or those that perform well but occasionally cause minor issues, and those that are "certified," or those that work flawlessly on Steam Deck and are also customized to the device's screen and controls. The top ten list, on the other hand, only includes titles that have been validated.
