The evidence of the affair keeps circulating the internet: William's alleged lover hung out with Kate for years, then got exiled. Who is Rose Hanbury, the woman who is currently rumored to have been Prince William's mistress for a long time?
Who said Prince William and Duchess Kate aren't followed by dramas like Harry and Meghan?
There have long been rumors that William hasn’t exactly always been faithful to his love from the college he married in 2011 and had three children. And one name keeps popping up whenever this subject gets mentioned. This is the former model and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, 37-year-old Rose Hanbury, who is also a close friend of the duchess.
Duchess Kate, 39, and Prince William, 39, reportedly began their relationship in 2003, and after three years together, Kate was very worried about their future. Namely, during the holiday season of 2006, Kate and William agreed that the Prince would travel with his family after Christmas to spend the rest of the time with Kate and her family.
However, the prince changed his mind, so he informed Kate at the last minute that he would still be spending the holidays at home. The details of the royal relationship were written by author Katie Nicholl (44) in her book published in 2011, ‘The Making of a Royal Romance’. Katie claims that William promised Kate that he would join her family, but instead decided to stay with his family – informing her by phone the day after Christmas.
As a reminder, in 2019, British media reported that the Duke had succumbed to the charms of two-year-younger Rose Hanbury while Kate was pregnant with their third child, Prince Louis.
The Duchess was reportedly devastated at the time that the news would one day be read by her children and the couple barely managed to save their marriage. Also, at the time, the royal couple stopped hanging out with Rose and her husband David Rocksavage, to whom the Marchioness married at the age of 25.
Before her wedding in 2009, the Marchioness earned money as a model, and her career was taken care of by the same agency which hired Kate Moss. Today, the mother of three is devoted exclusively to the family. The couple has twins Hugh and Oliver, who will turn 10 this year, and daughter Iris Marina, who turned 3.
Nevertheless, Rose has more than one connection to the royal family and not only through her friendship with Kate. In fact, her grandmother was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in November 1947. Hanbury also had the honor of attending William and Kate's wedding in April 2011.
The Marchioness and the future Queen lived close to each other in Norfolk, England, and had a similar circle of friends. They are also both active members of a humanitarian organization aimed at helping children and young people living in poor conditions.
The question is whether the relationship of the two ladies feel apart because of Prince William and will we ever find out the truth...
