Her husband Jason Ritter was sharper. He shared her post and added:" If anyone has further comments, which no one has asked about, on anyone's body, feel free to write them on your forehead with permanent ink and throw yourself directly into the sun," he said.
The actress previously revealed that even some members of the production reproached her weight at the beginning of the filming of the series.
"They asked me, "What are you planning to do with it? We are sure that the producers will get you a coach, they will be happy to help you with that, '' she said in an interview with Rolling Stone.
"It was very important to me and I wanted that character that I am acting to be happy with himself and not think about rude comments. I want women watching the series to conclude, 'Well she looks like me and nobody tells her she's fat.' That is very important ", said the actress.
In an interview, she said she felt bad for a long time because of how she looked and that she was trying to become something that was not physically possible for her.
"I was losing my mind. I had diet problems and for a while, I thought I wouldn’t survive it. It's not that I was on the verge of death, but I was very unhappy and my hair started to fall out, " she said. Still, she managed to get over it and come to terms with herself.
"I realized that I have to look the way I look and believe that people and someone who looks like this will want to watch a movie or series. I became really happy with myself, you can't act like that ", she concluded.
By the way, Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter were married in 2020, and a year earlier they had their first child.
