YouTube made many ‘haters’ happy and canceled Rewind for good

To the delight of many "haters", YouTube has confirmed for TubeFilter that they are permanently canceling their official annual review of trends, the most popular memes, videos, and creators, YouTube Rewind.

Namely, they say that the reason for canceling Rewind is not numerous criticisms, but the fact that the platform has so many creators and content that, as they claim, it is impossible to cover all highlights and diversity in just a few minutes long compilation.

However, the company states that the official Rewind will be replaced by the videos of the creators, who have been making their own annual reviews of the most important events on the platform for some time now.

"Since Rewind started in 2011, we've seen creators like MrBeast, elrubiusOMG, Slayy Point, and many others create their own videos to mark the year from their perspective," a YouTube spokesman told TubeFilter, noting that they will continue to be inspiring.

We remind you that YouTube decided to give up last year's Rewind due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the situation with the company's review of the year has not been good since they released the one for 2018, which still holds the record for the most disliked video on the platform - 19 million.
