5 MISTAKES WE ALL MAKE WITH SAMSUNG PHONES
Samsung is a company that makes great phones, but as with everyone, there are some things you need to pay attention to if you want to get the most out of your phone.
We should not go beyond the fact that the number of pre-ordered phones of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series broke all previous records.
However, are you really using your Samsung phone the way you should? Some might say that Galaxy phones are the closest (only) competition to iPhone phones in many parameters.
But as with any phone, many users make the same mistakes. Whether they pay a lot more because they buy a phone on a contract, or charge it for too long, the list is long, but here are definitely the five most important tips on how to fix it.
1. Turn off Bixby
We’re sure there are users who love the Samsung Bixby Assistant, and for both of them this advice doesn’t apply, but for everyone else, Bixby is something you activate by mistake when you hold the Power button a little longer.
To turn off Bixby go to Settings, then Advanced Features, where you will look for the Side Key option. Here you can change what happens when you press or hold the Power key twice. You can choose to launch the camera, some double-click apps, or the Bixby and Power menu to hold this key.
2. Shopping in the promo period
Samsung is known for providing nice gifts and even better discounts during the promotional period when you pre-order their Galaxy series phones.
If you are unsure about replacing the phone, wait for the premiere, you can really save on new and old phones because that's when the price of the old generation can be lower.
3. Using the wrong charger
The Galaxy S22 uses fast chargers and wireless charging but does not come with chargers included. Therefore, many users use old chargers that charge relatively quickly, but not half as fast as the situation with new chargers.
Unfortunately, when you say goodbye to over a thousand dollars, it seems a little silly for someone to ask you for additional money for a fast charger, but that is a trend that Apple started, and which everyone has joined.
In any case, make sure that the charger you have meets the specifications of your new phone, as well as that it supports USB Power Delivery, an option that is essential for fast charging.
Of course, there are many reasons why you should not keep your phone on the charger all night, and you choose the one you like best.
4. Use the phone without a cover
Do you know how much it costs to replace the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in the USA? If the price of replacing the screen on the S20 Ultra is over 300 dollars, you can't hope that it will be cheaper for the S22 Ultra, can you?
Of course, you also know that there are various covers and protective glasses for all phones, which are significantly cheaper than a broken screen.
As someone who has repeatedly broken phone screens, the signer of these lines tells you that there is no smarter thing than protecting your phone with a mask and glass, whatever the model.
The fact that it will look a little bigger than without them is a small price (literally) compared to the repair. Don't ask how we know.
5. Clean unnecessary items from the phone
The list of garbage that comes with Galaxy phones depends on the market, but we are sure that you have some Samsung applications on all phones that you don't even know what they are for.
Samsung also likes to offer alternatives to existing applications. Some are really good, but since you don't use most of them, it's time to eliminate them and let your phone go.
On the other hand, no one is stopping you from using the Samsung Email app instead of Gmail, or Samsung Calendar instead of the Google Calendar app, but even if you do, then eliminate duplicates and free up space in both RAM and storage.
