After filming 18 seasons of the series ' Grey's Anatomy' Ellen Pompeo no longer wants to act

American actress Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Gray in our favorite television series, seems to be tired after years of filming "Grey's Anatomy."

Speaking in the Ladies First podcast with Laura Brown, the 51-year-old actress explained that she simply plans ahead and hopes to expand her resume when “Grey's Anatomy” officially comes to an end.

- I'm not saying I'll never act again. I can, but I’m not too excited about continuing my acting career, Ellen said, adding: I’m more enterprising at this stage. I’m excited about investing in companies and starting a business. It’s an area of ​​growth that I’m excited about, using my brain in a different way.

Moreover, Ellen explained that working in Hollywood is not as glamorous as it seems - which makes taking on future projects even more appealing.

- Sitting in the trailer, traveling around, taking it to Atlanta, shooting it in Vancouver, she described, I have no desire to sit in a trailer in 11 at night and wait to shoot a scene or to wait for someone to knock on my door and tell me when I can eat lunch. 

Ellen stayed on one project for a long time because she hesitated with risk at the beginning of her career. So she played it safe.

- When I was 30, I absolutely saw myself on television. That’s why I stayed in the series, Ellen says.

- Now that I'm 50, I don't see myself like that at all, she remarked and added: I think ... that I can do whatever I want or I can't do anything at all, quite honestly.

If nothing else, she's already in the process of releasing an exciting new project: its podcast, ‘Tell Me’.
