Christina Aguilera supported her longtime friend Britney Spears after a court hearing in which the popular singer broke the silence and revealed what problems and limitations she has been struggling with in the last few years, Variety writes.
Aguilera took to Twitter saying she had been thinking about her friend and everything she had been through for the past few days."It is unacceptable that any woman, man, or human being cannot control their own life, that is, that they cannot live the way they want to. Being silenced, ignored, or abused by those closest to you is the worst and saddest thing I can imagine. The consequences of such a thing on someone's psyche are not and should not be ignored, " Aguilera wrote.
She emphasized that she is not aware of what is happening behind closed doors of the Spears family, but she speaks and judges according to what she heard, read, and saw in the media and on social networks. She added that she concluded that Britney, whom she once knew, had spent years living without the compassion and mercy of those who controlled her.
"To a woman who worked under pressure that many can't even imagine, I want all the freedom in the world to live happily. Trust me, she deserves it," Aguilera concluded.
