The Los Angeles Times reported that Gilford Police Chief Anthony Bean Burpee said Manson, who was born as Brian Hugh Warner, would surrender to the Los Angeles Police Department following an arrest warrant issued on October 8, 2019.

The order, issued by the Gilford authorities in May 2021, charges Manson with "two counts of a simple Class A attack resulting from an incident in 2019 in the New Hampshire Bank pavilion," an open-air amphitheater in Gilford.

The LA Times reported that a videographer who arranged to film Manson’s concert was on the scene when he was allegedly attacked. The report, which specifies that the incident was not of a sexual nature, also states that the videographer warned the authorities of the alleged attack the day after the concert. Still, the investigation took several months.

When the arrest warrant was first made public, the Gilford Police Department wrote in a Facebook post that “Warner, his agent, and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and that he made no effort to return to New Hampshire to respond to charges pending ".

Manson will surrender to police as part of an agreement between New Hampshire officials and Manson's attorney, the LA Times reported. Burpee said that if he surrenders in the next few weeks, he will have his first court appearance in New Hampshire by mid-August.

The surrender deal comes after Manson faced multiple charges of sexual assault.

In an Instagram post in February, actress Evan Rachel Wood shared details of the alleged sexual abuse she experienced during a relationship with Manson, with whom she was engaged in 2010. They began dating in 2007 when Wood was 19 and Manson was 38.

Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco came out a month later with a lawsuit against Manson and his former manager.
