Angelina Jolie wins ownership case against ex-Brad Pitt
Actress Angelina Jolie finally won the legal battle against her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, who sued her because she sold her share in the joint vineyard, which they bought in 2008. By the way, she sold that share in the French vineyard to rival investor Stoli, who thus became her business partner.
The actress's legal team has repeatedly asked Brad and his lawyers for documents about the vineyard they own, and two days ago, after several refusals, they succeeded in doing so.  A judge in Los Angeles ordered Brad to hand over the documents to Angelina, the media point out. “He simply cannot see beyond his hatred for Jolie” - they concluded.
Jolie and Pitt bought the property in 2008 for 28.5 million dollars, as a place where they wanted to raise their children, to spend their lives there, and one of the ideas was to build a family wine business. They got married on that magical property in Provence in 2014, and after the divorce, court battles began over the custody of the children, but also over joint property and the businesses they had started.

Namely, Pitt was persistent, so he turned his love for wine into a multi-million dollar business. According to the media, he is one of the world's leading producers of rosé wine. The court documents also state that by 2013, Jolie had completely stopped participating in the restoration of the fairytale castle, while Pitt continued to invest millions of dollars, which is approximately 70 percent of the investment in Miraval. Then in January 2021, Jolie informed Pitt in writing that she had to make a painful decision with a heavy heart and sell her share.
This was the step that led Pitt to begin the process of purchasing a portion of his ex-wife's estate. However, in October 2021, the Stoli group's wine division, Tenute del Mondo, announced that it had bought its 50 percent stake in the estate and the wine produced there, with Russian entrepreneur Yuri Shefler taking control of the entire business. The sale comes as a surprise to Pitt, who can no longer use the castle as a home and cannot control the company he created.
