Alicia Silverstone is the target of criticism!
The famous actress revealed that she shares a bed with her 11-year-old son, so she found herself the target of criticism.
Actress Alicia Silverstone (45) recently spoke in an interview for "The Ellen Fisher Podcast" about her close relationship with her son Bear (11), which she has with her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki (45), from whom she separated in 2018. The actress, among other things, stated that she still sleeps in the same bed with the child, which was strongly criticized by parenting expert and psychologist Reena B. Patel.
'Her overly affectionate parenting can lead to boundary issues when it comes to the boy's development. She should have stopped sharing a bed with him much earlier when he was five years old' Patel stated.
'I'm just a loving mom !' the actress said, but the psychologist disagreed with her.

'When the child begins to question the difference between the sexes, enters puberty, and/or begins to show discomfort, the practice of co-sleeping should be stopped. It can be as early as the age of five. The so-called prolonged parenting can create co-dependence, limit the development of independent skills and lead to problems in other relationships, after all, because of this, one day it can also become a target for bullying ' warned the expert for the Daily Mail.
Silverstone also wrote about her "alternative" methods of parenting in the book "The Kind Mama" from 2014. Then she compared letting the baby sleep in the cradle to neglecting the child, and in 2020 she revealed how she and her son Bear bathe together.
'My upbringing is focused on honest communication ' Alicia explained at the time. She was also widely discussed after she shared that she fed her then 11-month-old son by pre-chewing his food and putting it directly from her mouth into his. And in 2014, she caused controversy again when she said she was against vaccination.'I prefer to rely on a vegan diet to keep my son healthy. And he was never sick! I'm not against Western medicine, but the big problem is that we use it as the first step for everything, even when it's not necessary, ' the actress revealed.
