Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled how his colleague Danny Devito made him high on marijuana during the filming of the 1994 comedy "Junior".
Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled how his colleague Danny DeVito made him high on marijuana during the filming of the 1994 comedy "Junior".
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel's show, Schwarzenegger said that DeVito is a little prankster and that he invited him to his trailer during the filming of "Junior", because he cooks good Italian food, NME reports. "We went to the trailer, we ate Italian food, it was delicious - pasta and everything he cooked," he said.
After the meal, DeVito made coffee and offered Schwarzenegger a cigarette, which he accepted. "He put it in his mouth and set it on fire. I smoked it and it was fantastic", Schwarzenegger said.
The problem, however, arose when they were back on the set. Schwarzenegger simply froze and could not remember his reply. 'The director says ‘action' and I say, 'Um … what do I have to say?' "Well, we continue with the scene, Arnold, that we shot before lunch. Remember the scene where you and Danny talked about going out, and you're pregnant now? And I said, 'No, I don't remember, what we did before lunch?' ' "I had to go to the supervisor to check the script - I completely forgot everything," Schwarzenegger said.
The actor said that it took him years to actually find out that Deni DeVito put some marijuana on top of his cigar. "I was high as a kite," the action hero complained. On one occasion, he added, he tried to take revenge on him in the same way, but it turned out that DeVito could easily smell marijuana.
"I gave him a cigar, and he said, 'Ah, there's a little bit of weed in it,' so it didn't work," he said.
In addition to "Junior", Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito starred together in the hit comedy "Twins" from 1988, which will soon get its sequel to "Triplets", where comedian Tracy Morgan will appear in the role of the third brother, instead of the originally planned Eddie Margie.
