Baldwin didn't pull the trigger on the set?
Alec Baldwin may have fired a shot that killed 'Rust' camerawoman Halyna Hutchins, but did not pull the trigger of the gun, New Mexico District Attorney said.
Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies told that she watched an interview with ABC's Alec Baldwin, 63, in December. She said that she felt the actor did not pull the trigger that killed Rust director Halyna Hutchins. She claims that we can pull the hammer needle back without pulling the trigger without actually locking it. So, if we pull it halfway, it doesn't lock, and then if we release it, the impact needle can hit the initial part of the bullet. As we can remember Baldwin insisted in earlier interviews that he never pulled the trigger. He stated that he would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger on them.
Carmack-Altwies has launched its own unofficial investigation to investigate Baldwin's allegations and prove he only pulled a gun hammer before firing a bullet that killed Hutchins and wounded film director Joel Souza (48). She said that she didn't know much about pistols, and certainly not about 1850 revolvers. But when she heard about the situation for the first time she thought that it was crazy.
Carmack-Altwies asked one of her investigators to bring her antique revolver to her office to see if a mechanical malfunction could cause the gun to fire. After a test fire, two investigators inspected the gun to confirm it was not loaded. Her test revealed that the hammer could have caused the bullet to be fired, but the official results of the FBI's weapons analysis are still pending. Although Baldwin said he did not pull the trigger, in a lawsuit filed in November by script supervisor ‘Rusta’ he stated that Baldwin ‘intentionally’ fired a gun at Hutchins. Hayne Hutchins' family lawyers filed a lawsuit against Baldwin for manslaughter last week.
Recall, Actor Alec Baldwin, 63, finally returned to the set. After an accident that happened on the set of the film last year, he did not play from that time. He shared a video on Instagram in which he told how he feels now. In this video, he said that the first day is always difficult. He doesn’t work as much as he used to. He went to work and forgot what he should be doing. It’s weird for him to get back to work.
