Armie Hammer: 'I'm looking forward to holidays'

Disgraced American actor Armie Hammer, who found himself in the public spotlight last year on sexual cannibalism charges, is trying to get on with his life after spending nearly a year at a Florida treatment and rehabilitation center for drug, alcohol, and sex addiction.

According to Vanity Fair magazine, Hammer called his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers in late May to ask for her help and express that he was ready for treatment. He is now trying to move on with his life after spending most of 2021 in rehab, while still facing harsh complaints against him.

A source from the tabloid The Sun confirmed that Hammer, 35, was in a rehabilitation center located on the outskirts of Orlando, in the state of Florida.

The world was shocked by the accusations of his ex-girlfriends that he raped and mentally abused them, and his cannibalistic instincts were mentioned.

"Armie left the rehabilitation center where he spent almost nine months. He's doing fine and it is wonderful news for his family. He returned to the Cayman Islands," said his lawyer for The Sun .

A source close to the actor also said that Hammer is looking forward to spending quality time during the holidays with his children, despite the divorce from his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers.

In June 2020, Chamber and Hammer announced their divorce after 10 years of marriage, and both posted on Instagram that their marriage had come to an end.

A friend close to the Hammer family told Vanity Fair that Armie is determined to get rid of the addiction and that his health and family come first.

“He wants his life back again and knows this is a step forward for healing,” the source concluded at the time.

Armie’s problems began in January 2021 when several ex-girlfriends accused him of rape and psychological abuse and thoughts of cannibalism. Los Angeles police launched an investigation against him on February 3, and following horrific allegations, Hollywood also turned its back on him, so it replaced him on several projects.
