Beyoncé announces new album ‘Renaissance’

After the pop singer shared the words "act and… RENAISSANCE" on social media, streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal also published minimalist artwork with the same words and offered fans a chance to book their copy of the album, which will consist of 16 songs.

It seems that Renaissance will be the traditional Beyoncé solo album, the seventh in a row. It presents the follow-up album 'Lemonade' from 2016, and fans are ecstatic that they will finally get new material from Queen B. In the past 6 years, Beyonce has recorded a joint album with her husband Jay-Z, called 'Everything Is Love' (2018), and then 'The Lion King: The Gift' - the soundtrack of Disney's remake of the animated film in which she lent her voice to lioness Nala.

Her fans have previously wondered why she deleted a profile photo from her social media profiles earlier this month, assuming she was preparing something interesting, while a new project was titled on her website stating: What is a B7?

We certainly knew that Beyoncé was preparing new music, as she stated last year, but no one knew when the album would be released. She then pointed out that, with all the isolation and injustice of the past two years, she thinks that we are all ready to travel again, to love and laugh, adding that she feels that "the renaissance is in sight", so she wants to be part of that escape. Then she stated that she has been visiting the studio for a year and a half.

Fans know that Beyoncé enjoys the studio, where she feels love, passion, and healing. On one occasion, she pointed out that her studio is just as exciting today as it was when she was nine years old - when she started making music. That she is ready for the renaissance, Beyoncé also showed with a new editorial for British Vogue, where, in a series of dramatic photos we see her in sequins, platform boots, and a bombastic headband.

Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful described the inspiration for the editorial as "a fashion fantasy spun from the tropes of club life during the last century’s final quarter", including mirrors, disco balls, head ornaments, and horses. The whole setting reminds us of the cult 54, one of the most popular discos in the late seventies and early eighties.

On the pages of the magazine, the Grammy Award winner wears a sculptural coat covered with gold sequins by Schiaparelli Haute Couture, paired with the planetary earrings of this brand. This heavenly look, Beyoncé rounds off with dashed bangs and golden lipstick color. In other photos, the singer wears a silk corset and leggings with sequins from the house of Harris Reed, decorated with a pink version of the designer feather headband and platform boots - while sitting on a large disco ball.
