A big scandal broke out in Hollywood recently when actor and producer Channing Tatum fired his colleague Thandiwe Newton (49) from filming the sequel to "Magic Mike". A few days later, the British media reported that this has been just one of the problems in the life of the actress we met as Thandiwe Newton lately, and probably one of the smaller ones. According to the American and British press, Newton has mental and family difficulties because she divorced her husband and British filmmaker Ol Parker (52) after 24 years of marriage. Thandiwe reportedly suffered a severe emotional breakdown and went to a medical facility to recover, and her agent traveled to Los Angeles for interviews to "smooth things over" and save her career as much as possible.
“Thandiwe is behaving terribly strangely on the set, she was very tense” - a source from the recording of the mentioned realization told Six. – “The alleged breakdown caused so many disturbances that it was clear that she could not play her role.”
In the midst of her family problems, she allegedly fired an agent with whom she had worked for three decades, and the team that is now taking care of her career wants Thandiwe to be hospitalized in a psychiatric institution in Arizona until she recovers.
Newton has been with Ol Parker since 1998, the couple has three children: daughter Ripley (21) and Nico (17) and son Booker (8). Since the actress keeps her privacy away from the media, it is not known that she had problems in her marriage, but the media now reports that she has not been seen with her husband since 2020.
