Corey Taylor of Slipknot on Covid-19 Diagnosis: I shudder at the thought of how bad it would be if I wasn't vaccinated
Slipknot Frontman recently tested positive for coronavirus, which is why he had to cancel all scheduled concert activities.
Corey Taylor is an American singer of rock and heavy metal, lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour.
His passion for music began when he was a child when his grandmother first presented him with Elvis Presley's albums.
At the age of 15, Corey already had drug problems, suffering a cocaine overdose twice. Following these incidents, his grandmother took legal custody of him. At the age of 18, Taylor tried to commit suicide by overdose but was saved by the mother of his ex-girlfriend, who drove him to the hospital in Des Moines. He describes the moment as "the lowest point in his life."
Recently Corey contracted the Coronavirus and was in a pretty bad condition even though he got vaccinated.
He updated his condition after contracting COVID last week, calling it the worst illness in his life, but he has now overcome the worst. He also said that although he still feels bad, being vaccinated helped him get through the whole ordeal much easier.
"I am still positive, but the fever is gone, the pain is gone. I'm sweating. I’m still stuffy, but slowly but surely I’m recovering. It shouldn’t take too long before I’m negative, so that’s great,” Corey Taylor said, adding,“ This is the worst I’ve been sick of in my life. I shudder at the thought of how bad it would be if I wasn't vaccinated. ”
The singer then encouraged in a message all those who are still hesitant about whether or not to receive the coronavirus vaccine.
Just a little update on how I’m recovering. Thanks so much to everyone who sent their best wishes and to friends and family who reached out. pic.twitter.com/haWwWZbdN3 — SHRED DJENT REDEMPTION (@CoreyTaylorRock) August 23, 2021
