Criminal charges possible in Alec Baldwin shooting

Alec Baldwin accidentally killed director of photography Halyna Hutchins and wounded the director on the set of the western film "Rust."

"All options are on the table," District Attorney Mary Karman said of all potential allegations, adding, "No one has been ruled out at this point."

Investigators also said there was a "neglect" of security on the set.

Presenting the initial findings, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said earlier: "We suspect there were other live rounds found on set. We're going to determine how those got there, why they were there because they shouldn't have been there."

He said police had found 600 pieces of evidence so far - including three firearms and 500 pieces of ammunition.

Sheriff Mendoza also said that the "lead projectile" was taken from the shoulder of the wounded director Joel Suza and handed over as evidence.

"I think the facts are clear - a weapon was handed to Mr. Baldwin. The weapon [was] functional and fired a live round killing Ms. Hutchins and injuring Mr. Souza," he said of the murder.

David Halls, the assistant director who handed Baldwin the gun, previously revealed that he did not check all the bullets in the gun before handing it to him, according to a court document released on Wednesday.
