Currently the most watched movie on Netflix: "Four good days"
The 2020 American drama "Four Good Days" recently arrived on Netflix and has sparked the interest of users of the streaming platform worldwide.
The story follows the struggle of a young woman named Molly (Mila Kunis) with a severe addiction to heroin. The film focuses on four days of Molly's life as she tries to stay sober in order to receive Naltrexone, a drug that blocks the effects of heroin and helps overcome addiction. Even though it is more than 3 years old, the film has caused a lot of public interest right after its arrival on Netflix, and if you have not yet watched this impressive drama based on true events, now is the right time to embark on a terrifying, emotional and above all educational journey.
Although Deb tried to devote herself completely to her daughter, Molly's addiction took over her entire existence.
Based on an article from the Washington Post
The film is based on an article entitled "How is Amanda?". The story of truth, lies, and American addiction by reporter and Pulitzer Prize winner Eli Saslov at the Washington Post. The article documents a young woman's struggle with heroin addiction who seeks help from her mother. The article was first published in July 2016 and, while some things have been changed or added in its film adaptation, the key points remain the same. Like the film, the article focuses mostly on Libby and Amanda's relationship and how the daughter's addiction has affected her mother, and the result is a chilling, instructive story that gives us a glimpse into a small slice of the hell that severe addiction brings with it.
