"Doctor Who" - Premiere Date, Posters & New Trailer!

Finally, we have new information about "Doctor Who". This TV show is returning to the small screen. Disney Plus and the BBC have announced that the first of three specials that are celebrating the show's sixtieth anniversary will premiere on November 25, and the next two will follow in the weeks after that, on December 2 and 9.

Along with the announcement of the premiere of the special, a fresh trailer and posters for each individual episode were also published. David Tennant as the Doctor, Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, Jemma Redgrave as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble, and Karl Collins as Shaun Temple await us again in the specials. Neil Patrick Harris will appear as the Toymaker, the (all) powerful nemesis originally portrayed by Michael Gough.

Soon it will be 60 years since the first episode aired, and the "Doctor Who" is still popular thanks to the Doctor's unique way of self-regenerating. Speaking of which, fans were certainly at least somewhat surprised, if not shocked at the end of the previous special, when Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor regenerated into a new incarnation in the form of David Tennant.

What can we expect?

What is new? Gatwa will be joined in the role of a new companion by Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Russel T. Davies will host the series. This time, the BBC is producing together with Disney, which will broadcast the episodes on its Disney+ platform. We hope simultaneously all over the world, but that is not yet known.

Three special episodes of the series Doctor Who will arrive on the Disney Plus platform in November. The titles of the episodes are, in order: "The Star Beast", "Wild Blue Yonder" and "The Giggle". And apparently, they are just the beginning of the celebration, according to the words of showrunner and executive producer Russell T. Davies: “This is just the beginning because the fever is just starting to shake. We're heading into a November full of Doctor Who surprises for fans and new viewers alike. Be ready!”

Davies is also the screenwriter for all three specials, which were directed by Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley and Chanya Button.
