Daniel Craig on the role of James Bond: As if I was physically and mentally under siege!

Daniel Craig became famous for his role as a James Bond spy, but in a new interview for Apple TV + he admitted that he often felt like he was "physically and mentally under siege".

He revealed that he was under pressure when it came time to take over the role from actor Pierce Brosnan and that he was not ready for the level of fame that came with accepting the role.

"Fame suddenly started to affect my personal life. I was a coward. I didn't like the newly acquired level of fame. Hugh Jackman helped me come to terms with it and I appreciate it," Craig said.

The actor added that at first, he did not want to accept the role because he was already successful. But Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the film franchise, told foreign media that she really wanted Craig in that role.

"I always thought you couldn't watch anyone else when he appeared on the screen. It was clear to me that he was a movie star and a great actor," Barbara said.

By the way, a trailer for the 25th part of James Bond was recently released. The film is called No Time to Die, and this is Daniel Craig’s last appearance as Agent 007. The film is set to hit theaters on September 30th.

Daniel gave a speech during the filming and told his cast that he was proud of his work.

"This is just part of something bigger. It's not easy to leave this role, but I think it's okay now," he said.
